Ballpoint Practice:Frankenstein

Doing a bit of practice for a future project. I have to get the technique down before I move the the final pieces. There was a mistake doing this since the space around Karloff's face I did larger strokes, the desired technique would be the same as I used in the studies below, smaller finer strokes but it was 2am and I was sleepy when i did this piece. 


 

Tonal value practice and shadow studies.                                       

This is the final piece but pictured with the tool used. One dead soldier: Titus fine ballpoint pen(blue).
